US President-elect Donald Trump has given a big responsibility to Indian-American entrepreneur Sriram Krishnan. He has been appointed Senior Policy Advisor of the White House on Artificial Intelligence (AI). His job will be to advise the White House regarding AI. Trump said that he will work with David Sachs and Shriram to maintain American leadership in AI. Thanking Trump for this appointment, Krishnan said that he is feeling honored for this.

Who is Sriram Krishnan?

Krishnan has played leadership roles in many companies. He has worked in high positions in companies like Microsoft, Twitter, Yahoo, Facebook and Snap etc. He has also worked with American billionaire Elon Musk. Krishnan was with Musk when he was making changes in Twitter after purchasing it. He has also worked with Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). In 2023, he took charge of the office opened outside America in London. He said goodbye to this company in November itself.

Indian American community welcomed the decision

Trump’s decision to give an important role to Krishnan has been welcomed by the Indian American community. Sanjeev Joshipura, executive director of Idiaspora, said, "We congratulate Krishnan for this honorable role. His expertise in public policy, international affairs, technology and investing is invaluable for the country."

Trump will take oath on January 20

Donald Trump has been elected President of America after winning the elections in November this year, but he has not taken oath yet. He will take oath on January 20. Trump is the first former American President in the last 13 decades who is going to become President again. Since winning the election, Trump has made many important appointments in his government.
